The School of Agriculture encourages international student mobility and supports it through international agreements that it has stipulated within community programs and cultural collaboration.
Internationalization is a fundamental dimension of the educational offer, and allows students to get involved, grow, strengthen one or more foreign languages and acquire very important experiences to enrich their curriculum.
International mobility programs can be carried out in Europe and in non-European countries for study, internships or research.
The Erasmus study program allows students to spend a study period (from 2 to 12 months) at one of Unifi's partner universities, attending courses chosen by the students and taking exams that will be recognized in their career once they return to Italy.
Erasmus students can receive financial support to cover living expenses abroad and attend the host university without having to pay additional fees.
Study activities can be accompanied by internships and/or research for the thesis (according to the acceptance rules of the foreign institution), but for this type of Erasmus the part of course attendance/taking exams must be predominant in terms of credits acquired.
The Erasmus Traineeship program allows students to enrich their CV by carrying out work experience abroad, or carrying out thesis research activities at a foreign university.
The internship can be carried out at public or private entities in one of the 28 Member States of the European Union plus the non-European Union Program countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Turkey) for a period of 2 to 12 months.
The internship can be recognized as a curricular internship once the students return to Italy, based on the provisions of the regulations and teaching plans of the various courses of study and following the procedures established by the individual teaching structures.
The Non-EU mobility program allows students to spend 3 to 12 months at a University outside the European Union that has signed a cultural and scientific collaboration agreement with the School of Agriculture.
During the period abroad, students will be able to choose whether to carry out study activities by attending courses and taking exams (with the possibility to integrate them with a short internship), whether to dedicate themselves to writing their thesis, or whether to carry out activities in the context of research doctorates.
The students who win the call will be able to access the services offered to students regularly enrolled at the partner institution without having to pay additional enrollment fees in addition to those at their home institution.

The grades received in foreign universities will be converted into Italian grades according to the ECTS tables.
ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) tables are adopted by universities in the countries of the European Higher Education Area and allow the conversion of grades between different national systems according to criteria shared at European level (ECTS - Users' Guide 2015). They define clear rules and a uniform approach at university level and are mandatory for the conversion of grades obtained by students during a mobility period. For grade conversion it is necessary to have:
If the conversion results in a grade range, the most favourable grade is awarded to incentivise and reward students taking exams abroad.
